FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Where does the data come from?

Each metric is sourced from primary or authoritative sources: the Federal Register, CBP, ICE, CBO, BLS, White House press releases, court records, and major newswires (Reuters, AP). Every card links directly to its source.

How often is the data updated?

Data is reviewed and updated manually on a regular basis. The last verification date is shown at the top of the tracker page.

Some numbers look approximate — why?

Some figures are inherently approximate: deportation counts are revised, spending estimates change, and some metrics are only reported periodically. Where a number is rounded or estimated, the source note says so.

A stat is wrong or outdated. What do I do?

Please use the contact form to report it. Include the metric name and a link to a more recent or accurate source. We review every submission.

Is this site politically neutral?

The goal is to present verifiable facts without editorial framing. The site is not affiliated with any political party or media organization. Some statistics are disputed by the administration — this is noted where relevant.

Who funds this site?

PoliMetrics is reader-funded. There are no ads and no party money. It runs on voluntary donations from visitors who want it to keep existing.

Can I share or embed a metric?

Yes. Every card has a share button with direct links for X, Facebook, WhatsApp, and a copy-link option. Each metric also has its own URL you can link to directly.

Where do the images in metric detail panels come from?

The photos shown in metric detail panels are fetched from Wikipedia. They are used under their respective licenses (typically Creative Commons or public domain). A credit link to the source Wikipedia article is shown directly on each image.
